Village Gardens was established in 1984 in Blue Springs, MO. In 1993 we opened a satellite store in Overland Park, KS at 7214 College Blvd. Village Gardens is a local, family owned and operated business.

Delivery Conditions
Delivery is guaranteed for the date selected if we receive the order by 1:00PM CST. If we receive the order after 1:00PM CST it will be delivered the following day. If the recipient is not available or a signature cannot be obtained, the delivery may need to be rescheduled. For Gift Basket “Drop Ship” delivery see details below.

Valentine’s Day & Mothers Day Delivery
Due to the high delivery demands of the Valentine’s & Mothers Day Holiday’s We Cannot guarantee any specific timed delivery requests. All orders will be delivered by 5pm to a business and by 8pm to a residence. Real time email delivery verification is not available for these 2 holiday weeks. Delivery verification by phone is not available until one day following the date of delivery.

Delivery Status
If we have your email address you will receive real time delivery confirmation by email (KC Metro area deliveries only). Our drivers are equipped with web enable cell phones. Otherwise, please consider your order delivered on the day you requested. If we have any difficulties delivering your order we will contact you by phone.

Incorrect Address / Redelivery
Incorrect address information supplied to us that results in a re-delivery will be subject to a $10.95 re-delivery surcharge. Otherwise we will do one re-delivery at no additional charge. Any subsequent re-deliveries after the first will be charged $10.95 per delivery.

Deliveries Outside The Kansas City Metro Area and Canada
For deliveries outside Village Gardens local delivery area in the U.S. and Canada, delivery is generally available Monday through Saturday on orders we receive before Noon in the recipients time zone (excluding holidays and peak floral delivery periods). There are no deliveries to the U.S. or Canada on Sunday and legal holiday’s without verbal confirmation. Please make sure that your order information is accurate and complete in order to avoid delivery delays.

Sunday Delivery
Village Gardens delivers the local KC Metro area on Sunday. If a funeral service is scheduled for Sunday we will deliver either on Saturday afternoon or Sunday depending on the type of arrangement. Due to limited availability of Teleflora Member Florists open on Sunday we cannot guarantee delivery on Sunday outside the KC Metro area. Monday will need to be an option for delivery if Sunday delivery is not available.

Delivery Times
Village Gardens makes deliveries during normal business hours (9am to 5pm). We usually make 2 delivery “runs” per day. The first run leaves at 9:00am. The second run departs at 1:00pm and continues until all deliveries are complete. If a delivery “must” be there before noon or within a two hour window there will be a $5.00 “Special Handling” surcharge. “Standard” delivery is by 4pm to a business and by 6pm to a residence. The standard delivery charge is $10.95. For deliveries outside Village Gardens local delivery area you can only specify the date of delivery, not a date and time. If there is a time issue with a U.S. or Canada order please phone us. We will contact the remote Flower Shop to verify your request for a special delivery time. This may be subject to the remote Shop’s “Special Handling” surcharges.

When The Recipient Is Not Home
Standard Florist’s procedure is to leave the arrangement with a neighbor and attach a note to the recipients door stating where and by whom the arrangement was accepted on their behalf. The driver may also leave a note asking the recipient to call the shop and arrange for a re-delivery (no additional charge) if no one can be found to accept the delivery. We will only leave arrangements at the door upon your request (in “Special Instructions” on the order). Another option is for you to request (in “Special Instructions”) that we call the recipient first to arrange a convenient time frame for delivery. If the recipient is at work all day, we suggest send the delivery to the workplace. Incomplete or incorrect address or phone numbers may delay delivery and be subject to a $10.95 re-delivery surcharge.

Gift Basket Drop Ship Delivery
Gift Basket items shown on our web site are “Drop Shipped” from our partner company. These items will show the UPS logo on the order page. We do not stock these items. They are made fresh to order and shipped UPS direct to the recipient. Therefore these items cannot be delivered the same day they are ordered. For deliveries to the Kansas City Metro area please allow 2 days (not including the day you place the order) for delivery. For Gift Basket deliveries outside the KC Metro area please allow 2-5 days for delivery (not including the day you place the order) Do not count Saturday or Sunday when predicting the delivery date.

International Deliveries
Due to the various time zone differences between North America and other Continents same day delivery is not available. We can only offer delivery dates for orders we receive 3 business days in advance. Please call us at 816-228-9500, 913-661-9339 or toll-free 888-655-2336 to place an international delivery order. You cannot place International orders online.

In the unlikely event your item is not available for pickup we will call to suggest other options for your pickup order. Please include a phone number on the order where we can call you back within the next 90 minutes or call 913-661-9339 or 816-228-9500 to check availability yourself before placing your order.

Please allow 4 hours or more between the time you place your “In Store Pickup” order and the time you would like to pick it up.

The cut-off time for online, same day pickup orders is 1:00 p.m. CST.

During Valentines Week and Mothers Day week you must allow 48 hours lead time for “In Store Pickup” orders.

Our pricing is pretty consistent with other flower shops around the country with the exception of arranged roses. Our prices on arranged roses are quite a bit less than the national average. Therefore the prices shown in the Daily Roses Specials For KC Metro Area Delivery category of our site will not apply to rose arrangements sent to areas outside our local delivery. Please see the Roses category for nationwide arranged rose prices.

On all other fresh flower arrangements we cannot guarantee pricing for all areas of the country. The prices used on this website are average order pricing and will be filled by most florists around the country. In the event that you wish to send an item to a coastal or remote area of the country their pricing scale may be higher. As a result we may need to contact you for additional funds in order for the remote florist to accept your order on our behalf. In the event this occurs we will call you for authorization to change the price before proceeding with your order.

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
